Great bunch of folks! We were paired with F&S via Yardzen for a front yard dryscaping project. We handed over the plans and Sergio overall agreed with what Yardzen had given us, but offered some suggestions for changes and explanations as to why he recommended those changes. (Yardzen had us mulch a lot, but with how windy it gets, Sergio recommended an alternative). Sergio really knows his stuff!

The work was quick, professional and we've gotten a lot of compliments about our yard from neighbors once it was done!

A late but necessary post. I love my new patio! I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. A small space to work with but I think it came out well - simple & elegant. Sergio worked with me on the design & layout, & his 2-man crew executed beautifully - especially after adding the lighting.

I couldn't be more pleased with the results of our project. Out of all my flipping projects in real estate, Sergio is by far the best contractor I've ever had. He was RELIABLE, honest and transparent. While I had my own design in mind, he came up with several other suggestions, all of which I implemented. His guys were there when he said they would be an he was constantly on site, making sure everything was going well. He is the only subcontractor that met his deadlines and right on budget. I would highly recommend him.

When you have a picture in your mind, it's very difficult to describe it correctly especially landscaping. I wanted "an oasis in the desert." There were things I knew I wanted like lots of green and color pops all around. I simply can't believe the way my patio turned out. We turned out vision over to Sergio and watched our dreams coming true day by day. He understood everything we wanted and we have the most beautiful patio I could imagine. The space was small and our vision was big...we are absolutely thrilled!

Our water fountain in the courtyard stopped working and I was able to speak to Sergio to make an appointment for him to stop by. He came on time and gave me an estimate and was able to repair the fountain to a condition that was better than what we had before. Sergio took time to make sure everything worked well and we were very happy with him.

We noticed a neighbor's landscaping project on our daily walks in our neighborhood. We had been looking for new landscaping for our home as well and were especially interested to see how the neighbor's project would turn out. We were so impressed by the work from start to finish. Everything about this landscaping project was professional, creative, timely and well priced. The neighbor's yard turned out beautifully. The workers were a delight and we decided, after doing some homework and talking to other landscapers to stick with Sergio of F & S Landscaping. They did not disappoint! Sergio was so easy to work with and very helpful with his ideas. Our front yard has been transformed to a desert oasis! Our turf looks amazingly real, the rock work makes the front of the house pop and we are happy to have a drought-resistant landscape. We highly recommend F & S Landscaping, Sergio and his crew’

Updated review

I always turn to F&S Landscaping whenever I have a landscape project. Five years ago, Sergio and his crew created a wonderful backyard oasis for me... full of desert plantings that offered year-round color. I loved that backyard. I then hired them to do the front yard--complete with new driveway, custom-made gates and landscape lighting. It's spectacular. But then I got a dog. The backyard plantings and design were not particularly dog-friendly. So I reached out to Sergio again and he helped me devise and execute a new landscape plan. It's still a low-water design, but safe for the dog and just as, if not more, beautiful than the original. Sergio's and his team's attention to detail and expertise, as well as their responsiveness, is really appreciated.

I couldn't be happier with F&S Landscaping. I recently hired Sergio and his team to install an entirely new backyard for me. They showed up when they said they would, did what was expected (and then went above and beyond with additional projects that arose at the last minute). Communication throughout the two-week project was first-rate. They were efficient, pleasant and professional. I'll be using them again for my front yard landscaping work next spring.

F&S completed our landscape installation which was a full redo of our mid-century modern home in Rancho Mirage. The design was awarded to F&S following a competitive bid solicitation. The landscape design addressed, plant selection and placement, ground cover, irrigation and lighting. F&S started and finished on time, provided good quality plant materials, sought clarification and input when needed, and were knowledgeable, careful and thorough in all aspects.

This is one of those seemingly rare experiences where someone completely unknown to the client comes in and exceeds expectations in all respects.

Sergio and his crew were amazing. We were sent his direction by Southwest Boulder - best referral ever. We had a good idea of what our end result would be but wanted to see it on paper first. So Sergio told us to contact landscape designed Paul Ortiz. Paul was easy to work with and after 1 draft plan and 2 (3?) revisions, we settled on the final plan. Then back to Sergio in mid summer 2020 with our plans to replace our front & side yards with new landscaping and replacing sun scorched lighting and irrigation. Sergio was good at asking clarification and suggesting improvements & alternatives along the way. We waited until Labor Day weekend to begin work (to avoid the heat of August) but set an ambitious goal of Sept 21 completion as we were leaving town. Sergio and his crew worked through what turned out to be a blistering hot September and were done on time! Sure there was some fine tuning of light placement to be done after we returned from our trip but Sergio has consistently been there for us with follow up visits to ensure our satisfaction. My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Sergio. (We also had Sergio arrange to pour a new cement driveway and side patio for us to complement his excellent landscaping. All of which turned out great!)

Our first step in our landscaping project was to select the landscaper. We selected F & S through competitive bid.

When we met with Sergio, we found him to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Our project involved front, side and back yard. We had ideas, he turned them into actionable plans.
Sergio gave us start and finish dates. F & S met those times exactly.
We did do a couple of mid installation changes which increased our first estimate but only by a smaller amount than I would have expected.
The F & S crew were very professional, courteous and responsive.
We are really very happy with the way the project turned out. I would strongly recommend F & S Landscape to anyone looking for a reliable company.

We recently hired a landscape architect to design our new landscaping. When it came time to put the project out to bid F&S Landscaping was one of the companies that bid. Owner Sergio showed up to walk the entire yard with the architect and myself. He took detailed notes, made suggestions and when his bid came back it was very detailed and broken down by task so that it was easy to read and understand. That was not the case with the other bids.

This was a major job as we replaced the turf in the front yard with desert landscaping including the addition of boulders. There was also a lot of old gravel that either had to be moved or removed. We also had all new irrigation and professional lighting installed throughout the property. All handled by F&S.

From the time that F&S started the project until they were complete they did an outstanding job. Communication throughout the project was spot on. Sergio was actually here the majority of the time to oversee the project. Each day his crew cleaned up and made sure things were tidy before leaving. They were also very careful when using materials such as decomposed granite and the rocks to ensure that they did not scatter the materials around and never any issues with dust.

Overall we are extremely happy with the results. So much that F&S is now our on going landscaping contractor. I highly recommend F&S Landscaping.

Sergio and his crew at F&S Landscaping have been our gardeners the past seven years since we bought our house. While we lived out-of-state for most of that time, F&S maintained our landscaping, such as it was, to a "T". After we moved to the Valley permanently two years ago, we decided it was time to give our property a makeover. We hired a landscape architect to create a plan for our entire property, one that included not only new desert plantings, low voltage lighting, and new irrigation, but also included hardscaping additions . . . new sidewalks, new gates, a new front courtyard patio, and an upgrade to our back pool wall that included stack-stone tile and a poured concrete coping. We got a quote from the architect and also asked Sergio for a quote. As someone stated earlier, Sergio's quote was extremely detailed, categorizing each area with price and product. After a little bit of negotiation and modification, we kicked off the project at a reasonable estimate that came in about 25% less than the architect's quote.

The project took a little over five weeks to complete, but what a transformation! We went from a sand pit to a magazine cover. Sergio managed the whole thing, stopping by most days and even pitching in when the work called for it. He always responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had. His crew was amazing; they're the hardest working guys in the Valley. And they're nice, considerate, and respectful. And willing to do more than what is expected. I'm kind of a stickler for following the plans (okay, I'm more than a stickler). The guys didn't gripe or complain when I wanted to move a plant or a boulder or the curve of a sidewalk a few inches this way or that. They just did it to keep the customer happy. And they were tidy, picking up tools and cleaning up from one day to the next.

Sergio provided helpful suggestions and recommendations regarding product and design issues during the initial phases of the project. He also doesn't argue or nitpick over inconsequential amounts of money or product, and I believe he genuinely tries to provide the customer with the most economical approach and tries to solve the customer's concerns.

We are extremely happy with the end result of our landscape project, and we've had many compliments from friends and neighbors. We're also very happy with the gardening service we've had through the years from F&S and plan to continue with them. If I'm outside when they come for the weekly cleanup, one of them will always ask if there's anything in particular that I'd like them to address in addition to their normal maintenance. That is good service.

Now if they could just do something about the Spring winds.

I've been working with F&S for two years now. They provide superior service. They can perform well beyond just mowing and trimming services. For example, during this last big rain we had I was taking in water in my casita. F&S came up with a great solution that not only worked perfectly but actually added interest to the overall landscape. The landscapers are incredibly skilled, responsive and amiable. They also have a great aesthetic and know what looks good and what doesn't. Five Stars here.

We recently had a large pine tree damaged by wind and excessive rainfall. Because the tree was very top heavy, especially on one side, there was a serious risk that it could fall and do extensive damage. We hired Sergio and his crew take the tree out completely. It was a huge job, requiring great care to avoid damage to the pool, BBQ and seating area, and several smaller palms. They did an absolutely excellent job. I cannot recommend them highly enough
